NCR Plants Forests to Save the Earth, Expanding Green Space in Bang Kachao
On August 30, 2024, executives and employees from NCR Rubber Industry Co., Ltd., led by Managing Director Mr. Suwat Boonbandansook, joined forces with the Royal Forest Department to conduct a tree-planting event under the initiative, “NCR Plants Forests to Save the Earth.”
The opening ceremony took place at Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park and Botanical Garden in Bang Kachao, Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province. Participants then proceeded to the planting site at plot number 28222 in Bang Kachao, where they planted a variety of medicinal plants over an area of more than one rai. These saplings were provided by the Ecological Green Space Management Center of the Royal Forest Department.
The planted trees not only contribute to restoring the ecosystem in Bang Kachao—often referred to as the "Green Lung of Bangkok"—but also provide sustainable benefits for the local community, who can use the trees' produce. This initiative supports sustainable green space expansion in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a vital mission for NCR in giving back to society.
